What is Trigger Injection?
During an IVF cycle, hormonal medications are prescribed to stimulate the ovaries and encourage the growth of multiple eggs. Once the follicles have reached the optimal size, a trigger injection is administered.
Treatment Plan and Timing
Our consultants and patient coordinators will be creating a personalized treatment that begins on the 2nd or 3rd day of the menstrual cycle. The personalized plan includes hormone medication that is taken for 2 weeks to stimulate ovaries.
Monitor and Egg collection
IVF hormone medications increase number of mature eggs which then improves the chance of fertilization. During this phase, 2 weeks, ultrasound scans take place to monitor the maturation of eggs and then are collected through OPU.
Administering the Trigger Injection
The timing, dosage, and method of using the trigger injection must be followed precisely, as said by your fertility specialist. Incorrect use can disrupt the cycle and reduce the success rate of treatment. Always be in contact with our patient coordinators for free consultation and will be happy to assist you.
